FARNHAM—Sydney Rosilin Rigterink was 93 years old when she passed on from this life on March 17, 2019. She was born in Alton, Ill., on October 18, 1925, to Sidney and Marian Bears.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Allan Rigterink; and oldest son, Russell Allan Rigterink.
She is survived by two siblings, Stephan Ray and Peter A.; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Mattison), Bram, Nicklas, Sarah, Jan and Jessalynn (Rigterink Potts); as well as three great-grandchildren, Reilly, Colton, and Cali (Potts).
She was a devoted wife (Ray, 27 years in Navy), mother and friend to all. She loved to travel.
Family will receive family, friends and guests at a celebration of life memorial service at 10 a.m. March 30, at the Milden Presbyterian Church, Box 31 Sharps.
In lieu of flowers, provide donations/memorials to either the Richmond County Fire Department, P.O. Box 626, Warsaw,VA 22572; or Richmond County Emergency Services, 152 Community Park Drive, Warsaw, VA 22572.
