Kilmarnock Garden Club (KGC) members gathered grapevine and beach balls to construct “large and extra large twig balls” during a recent workshop.
The “twig balls” will be part of the unusual decorations to adorn the “outside entrance” of Lancaster Middle School for “Symphony in Flowers.”
The fundraiser will be presented by the Lancaster High School Symphonic Band and the KGC at 2 p.m. March 12.
Symphony in Flowers is a combination of music and floral artistry, said Genny Chase. The band is an integral part of this “one of a kind” performance. The band will share the stage with Francine Thomas, an international floral designer from New Zealand.
Tickets are $35 each and may be purchased by calling 435-6902, or email anitahart2577@gmail.com. Proceeds from this event will go to the band and KGC community projects.
