Symposium illuminates Tybee Island field study

In a recent marine science field study, Chesapeake Academy (CA) students compared biomes and ecological factors, impacting both the Chesapeake Bay and the Tybee Island ecosystems.

Last week, they presented this research in a student-led symposium for parents and community marine science experts, reported science teacher Robin Blake. Students organized their data and presented short lessons with interactive elements showcasing their research. Audience members were impressed by the level of scholarship and the breadth and depth of the students’ understanding of marine….
