Tammy B. Jett

DURHAM, N.C.-—Tammy Benson Jett, 45, formerly of White Stone, died suddenly on July 15, 2017, at her home.

She is survived by her parents, Raymond “Butch” Benson of Gloucester and Lildred H. Benson of White Stone and step-daughter of the late Hank Abbott of White Stone. She also is survived by her children, Sara and Eric Jett of Youngsville, N.C., and Elizabeth Hickey (Jason), and one granddaughter, Olivia Hickey, of Virginia Beach, all of whom she loved and adored.

Also surviving is a sister, Kimberly Benson of Weems; and two brothers, Matthew Benson of Matthews and Christopher Benson of Big Stone Gap; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and her ex-husband, Chris Jett of Youngsville, N.C.

Tammy was a very kind, loving, caring and trusting person. She never met a stranger and everyone who knew her loved her. We will miss her deeply and she will forever be in our hearts.

A memorial for Tammy will be held at 1 p.m. August 12, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
