Tavern barbecue

Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, will hold a takeout barbecue dinner fundraiser from 4-6 p.m. September 6. Sid Mace (above) will prepare his famous lip-smacking pulled pork, barbecue sauce and “Jack Daniels” baked beans. The menu will include potato salad, coleslaw, bun and brownies. Meals cost $20.
