Teamwork, confidence lead to District 15 championship for Lancaster County Little League Junior Softball All Stars

With a 21-2 win over Spotsylvania June 20, Lancaster County Little League’s Junior All Stars softball team claimed the District 15 tournament championship and earned a berth in the state tournament.

The Lancaster Junior League All Stars last won the District 15 softball tournament in 2012.

The team, managed by Bruce Northern and coached by Megan George and Le’Aria Kelley, will travel to Coeburn July 6. The double elimination state tournament will begin July 7.

The combined Lancaster-Northumberland team, playing as Lancaster All Stars, went unbeaten on….
