LOTTSBURG—The Northumberland school board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 16. The meeting will be accessible to the public through a public audio conference call at 1-564-888-5486 by entering conference code 500200.

The board will interview candidates interested in representing District 2 on the board.

The board also will convene a special meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, April 17. This meeting also will be accessible to the public through a public audio conference call at 1-564-888-5486 by entering conference code 500200.

The board will conduct a public hearing for comments on the appointment of a representative of District 2 to the school board. Members will then appoint an applicant.


LANCASTER—The Lancaster planning commission will conduct public hearings at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, on the capital improvement plan for fiscal years 2021-25 and proposed changes to an ordinance regarding the historic resources commission, making it an advisory commission with enforcement falling under the authority of building officials.

Next year’s plan calls for $11,220,251 in improvements.

The projected total for fiscal year 2022 is $665,500; for 2023, $1,960,000; for 2024, $1,142,500; and 2025, $345,000. The grand total for fiscal years 2021-25 is $15,333,251.
