The Bay Center seeks input on caregiver support

The Bay Center has grant funding from the Robert B. Lantz Foundation to explore the needs in the community for caregiver support and to launch a pilot program.

Julie Woods, who is researching local needs, said, “There is a collective agreement that caregivers need support.”

“A caregiver is defined as a family member or friend who regularly looks after a child or a sick, elderly, or disabled person,” said Woods. “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports one in five Americans are caregivers and….
