Billy McCarty took over the reigns of The Corner over Memorial Day Weekend 2023 and he has been making improvements while maintaining the classic neighborhood charm customers have come to love for decades.
Prior to the recent transfer of ownership, McCarty had previously been an owner of the restaurant after purchasing the spot in 1998 from distant cousin John Robert McCarty.
The Lancaster County native said the two were farming and got to talking and ultimately he made the business decision to take over the spot while on a combine.
McCarty’s connection to The Corner extends long prior to his initial purchase….
