On Sunday, May 28, The Island Church celebrated the 94th birthday of Capt. Meredith Robbins.
Church members and watermen paid a tribute to this very special member by wearing their “Guinea Boots” to church, reported Jo Manson.
Capt. Robbins is a Korean War veteran and worked on the building of the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge.
For over 60 years, he served as captain in the Omega Protein menhaden fishing….
