The Island Church on Sunday, October 8, presented Bay Blessings, a new community cookbook to members and guests.
This cookbook honors the legacy of generations of watermen and their families who have harvested the bounty of the Chesapeake Bay, reported Jo Manson. Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will go toward the renovations of the historic church buildings, constructed in the mid-1890s.
Ten restaurants and businesses sponsored this cookbook and provided their specialty recipes. Over 395 recipes were contributed by church members, extended….
