Adams Post 86 American Legion in Kilmarnock is selling tickets for a raffle of a quilt.
The squares were hand embroidered and machine quilted by auxiliary members and it took about a year to make, reported Carol Poundstone. The quilt will fit a queen size bed.
Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. A drawing will be held December 4.
Tickets can be purchased by calling Heather at 410-436-7466. Auxiliary members will sell tickets from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. October 15, 16, 29 and 30 at Tri-Star Supermarket in Kilmarnock. Also, tickets may be purchased from any Auxiliary members.
The proceeds from this project will be used for service projects for veterans and for the community, especially Girls State.
