REEDVILLE—Timothy W. “Tim” Abbe of Reedville passed away on April 23, 2024. He had just celebrated his 88th birthday. Tim was born in Enfield, Conn., to Leslie and Opal Abbe. The family moved to Rockville, Md., in the 1940s.
Tim served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War. He started his own business T.W. Abbe and Sons Plumbing and Heating in the early 1970s, and was in business for himself for over 25 years in Gaithersburg, Md. After selling his business, Tim went to work for the State of Maryland and then the Department of Defense at Bethesda Naval Hospital. In 2006, he built his retirement home in Reedville.
Tim and Virginia (Najarian-Gallahan) were married for 43 years. They had blended their families and the surviving children are Lisa Bono (Sal), Brian Gallahan (Laura), Dane Abbe (Dana Magsumbol) and Kyle Abbe (Helen); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a very large extended family which he loved and enjoyed tremendously.
A celebration of life for Tim will be held later to remember his life. Interment will be private.

Tim will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
