LANCASTER—The filing deadline for November 8 town elections is 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 21.
However, the window of opportunity for potential candidates to add their names to the ballot is even shorter. Lancaster County general registrar and director of elections Susan P. Jett reminds “late” filers the voter registration office, and all county offices, will be closed Monday, June 20, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
As of Monday, June 13, no one had filed for Town of Kilmarnock elections. The mayor’s seat and four council seats will be on the ballot.
