KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock Town Council briefly convened Thursday, October 22, for a second reading and vote on a $1,593,000 budget increase.
The original fiscal year 2026-27 budget adopted in June totaled $9,035,533.
According to town manager Susan Cockrell, the added expenditures stem from additional administrative material, legal fees, real estate fees, plans for putting the comprehensive plan out to bid and continued improvements for phases one and two of the waste water treatment plant enhancements…..
