Traveling evangelist to visit Light of Christ

Dr. Richard Pratt of Third Millennium Ministries will visit Light of Christ Anglican Church, 9500 Northumberland Highway, Claraville, at 7 p.m. June 16 and 10 a.m. June 17 for teachings and to present information on the work that he and the organization he founded are doing around the world to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ. The public is welcome to attend these sessions.

Third Millennium Ministries was launched in 1997 to provide “Biblical Education, For the World, For Free.” This goal is being met by publishing and distributing a free multilingual, multimedia, digital seminary curriculum in English, Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian and Spanish, reported Light of Christ office manager Margaret Radcliffe.

Instructors are seminary professors and theologically trained educators. In addition, all translators are theologically astute native speakers of their language, said Radcliffe.

The curriculum is used by hundreds of thousands of pastors around the world who lack sufficient training for ministry, she said. Often these areas are places where the church is growing the fastest.

Dr. Pratt chaired the Old Testament Department and taught at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Miss. and Orlando, Fla., for 21 years. He has traveled extensively throughout the world to evangelize and lecture. He has written numerous books including Pray With Your Eyes Open and Designed for Dignity.
