Treacherous travel
Keely Miller Eubank, catching a few flakes on the nose, yearns to play in the snow while on a wintery wonderland drive to Morrattico Tuesday, February 11. All was not fun and games however, as snow started falling about midmorning and continued into the evening. Travel became treacherous as the day wore on. About 5 p.m., Lancaster issued a traffic alert indicating roads were in severe condition and advising folks to avoid travel to allow the Virginia Department of Transportation to work, while 9-1-1 resources were being stretched thin responding to multiple ongoing incidents.
