Members of the TRIAD and the S.A.L.T. Council, its support group, recently met at Visiting Angels to elect S.A.L.T. Council officers and to plan for a senior living expo, “All Things Senior” from 8:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Lower Northern Neck Family YMCA, 39 William B. Graham Court, Kilmarnock.
Sheriff McCranie and Deputy Sheriff Beauchamp will inform seniors about local and internet scams at the Senior Expo, reported Frank McCarthy, owner of Visiting Angels and event organizer.
Among expo highlights, Charles Matine will present “Healthy Living.” Six 25-minute breakout sessions will include Diabetes and Nutrition, Financial Planning and Social Security, Dementia-“A Positive Approach to Care,” State of the Art Voice Activated Safety Monitoring/Medication Reminder equipment, “Adding Life to Your Years” and “Wills, Trusts and Estates.”
Over 30 businesses and organizations will participate.
