Two juveniles charged in MHS bomb threat

LOCUST HILL—In the early afternoon on March 20, the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office responded to a bomb threat at Middlesex High School, which was reported by the school resource officer (SRO) on duty, according to Major M.E. Sampson.

The SRO had been called to a faculty member’s office where he met with a faculty member and MHS principal Susan Fleet. The faculty member showed the SRO a text message that had been received in reference to the school blowing up, reported the SRO.

Sampson said the SRO notified the sheriff’s office at which time multiple deputy units responded immediately to the high school and started evacuating students and faculty. The Virginia State Police was contacted…
