Theater tickets
“The Prisoner of Second Avenue” continues at The Lancaster Playhouse, 361 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone.
Evening performances will begin at 8 p.m. March 13–14 and 20–21. Matinees will begin at 3 p.m. March 15 and 22. The theater and cash bar will open an hour prior to curtain. Tickets, $30, may be purchased at lancasterplayers.org, or 435-3776.
Widows support
A Space for Healing, Widows Support Group will meet from 1-4 p.m. on second Fridays at Northumberland Public Library, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.
Come for the support and camaraderie of others who may have walked the path, enjoy fellowship, games, light snacks and beverages.
Sax quartet
The Rappahannock Concert Association (RCA) will present the Washington Saxophone Quartet at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Performing Arts Theater, Northumberland County School Complex, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville. The SONNY String Quartet will perform at 7 p.m.

Virtual genealogy
The Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society will hold a virtual meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14. Historian Dennis Halpin will present “Henry Jones: A Life in the Archival Shadows.”

The NNK250 Signature Speaker Series will continue at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at the Edith Jenkins Bayne Center at Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems.
Dr. Daniel L. Dreisbach, professor in the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C., will discuss “The Virginia Declaration of Rights at 250.”
Photo Group
The Rappahannock Art League Photo Group seeks new members of all levels who wish to improve their skills. The Photo Group meets at 10 a.m. on third Mondays at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, 123 Norris Road, Lively, will served a corned beef dinner with cabbage, potatoes, a corn muffin and dessert from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17.

Charity event
A dinner to benefit the Shriners Children’s Hospital will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 20 at Lancaster. Union Masonic Lodge #88, 48 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

Comedy Night
The RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will host Comedy Night at 7 p.m. March 21. Comedians “Coach” Tom Holaday and Hatton Jordan will be featured. Doors will open prior to showtime; the first comedian will take the stage at 7:45 p.m.

Casino night
The Friends of Northumberland Public Library will host a Western Casino Night fundraiser from 6-8:30 p.m. March 28 at the Mallard Bay Clubhouse, 303 Mallard Bay Drive, Heathsville. Barbecue, casino games and a raffle will be featured.
Tickets are $100 each. Proceeds will benefit the library’s programs and children’s events. Tickets are available at the library.
Bluegrass festival
The Gloucester Moose Family Center, 6565 Moose Drive, Gloucester, will present the 12th annual Bluegrass Festival from noon-9 p.m. March 28. The roster includes County Seat, 1 and 5 p.m.; Solid Rock, 2 and 6 p.m.; Rappahannock Crossing, 3 and 7 p.m.; and Code Blue, 4 and 8 p.m.
Admission is $25 by advance ticket at the Lodge, or 366-7635. Proceeds benefit the VCU Massey Cancer Research and The Children’s Cancer Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
