“Opal’s Million Dollar Duck” at The Lancaster Playhouse, 361 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone, has been postponed.

Reception

On Friday, March 20, the Chesapeake Bay Garden Club will host a reception from 5-7 p.m. at the Northumberland Public Library, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville. Light refreshments will be served.

This also will be a chance to meet some of the club members and view an exhibit depicting club activities and projects.

Waterfowl show

The 41st annual Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show, initially scheduled March 21 and 22 at the White Stone Firehouse, has been canceled.

Paint night

The RAL Art Center paint night, previously scheduled March 20, has been canceled.

Spring event

Stratford Hall, 483 Great House Road, Stratford, will present Spring at Stratford Hall, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 21. A variety of tours and activities are planned throughout the day, including a paint and sip party for adults.

The event fees are $20 for ages 12-59; $17 for ages 60 and older and $10 for ages 6-11. Ages 5 and younger will be admitted free. The paint and sip fee is $40 per person. To register, visit stratfordhall.org.

Gardening seminar

The 27th annual Gardening in the Northern Neck seminar, hosted by the Northern Neck Master Gardeners, initially scheduled for March 21 at White Stone Church of the Nazarene, has been postponed to a later date.

Annual meeting

Preservation Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula (PNNMP) will conduct its annual meeting Thursday, March 26, at St. John’s Church, 5987 Richmond Road, Warsaw. The agenda will include a reception at 11 a.m., a business meeting and grants presentation at 11:45 a.m., lunch at noon and the program at 1 p.m. featuring Carl Lounsbury, author of Restoring Williamsburg.

Spring concert

The Bay Tones Barbershop Chorus will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. March 28 at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. Aged to Perfection, a woman’s quartet, also will perform.

Tickets are $15 each and are available from all Bay Tones members; from Country Cottage and White Stone Pharmacy in White Stone; Essex Bank, Union First Market Bank and Virginia Commonwealth Bank in Burgess; and the Animal Welfare League Thrift Shop, Chesapeake Bank, Sonabank, Virginia Commonwealth Bank and Yours Truly Photography in Kilmarnock.

Senior living

Northumberland Public Library’s Ye Olde Book Shoppe, 7072 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, in partnership with Commonwealth Senior Living, will host “A New Year, a New You,” a free series of luncheon talks on senior living.

Fashion show

The Pearl Boutique and Penelope Wore Red Spring Fashion Show has been postponed until later in the spring.
