Quilters
The Rivah Quilt Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 235 East Church Street, Kilmarnock.
A short meeting is followed by an activity or demonstration, a light lunch and an opportunity to win an overflowing basket full of goodies.

The Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society will hold a virtual meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12.

The Kilmarnock Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Kilmarnock Baptist Church, 65 East Church Street, Kilmarnock. Master Gardener Anne Olsen will address how to improve lawns and flower beds.
Arts Alive!
The Friends of Northumberland Public Library (NPL) will host an Arts Alive! reception from 5-7 p.m. April 25 at NPL, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.
Featured guests will be I Felt Fine Design artist Barbara Brecher and photojournalist Michael Geissinger.
Diamonds & Denim
The Healthy Harvest Food Bank, 55 Commerce Drive, Warsaw, will host the annual Diamonds & Denim on May 17. The gala will open with a cocktail hour from 4-5 p.m., followed by dinner and dessert from 5-6 p.m., program and auction from 5:45-6:30 p.m. and dancing to The Haus Band from 6:30 into the night.
Single admission tickets are $75; sponsorship levels range from $250 to $10,000, with accompanying perks. Purchase tickets at www.hhfb.org.

The Northern Neck Rotary Club meets at 7:30 a.m. on second and fourth Wednesdays at River Counties Community Foundation, 834 Rappahannock Drive, White Stone.

Speaker series
The Second Saturday Speaker Series will continue at 2 p.m. April 12 at the Steamboat Era Museum, 156 King Carter Drive, Irvington. Margery Woodson Nea and Chip Woodson will speak about “The Weems Wharf and Old Home.”

Garden week tour
The Garden Club of the Northern Neck will host a Historic Garden Week tour April 30 on the Crab Point Peninsula, along the Rappahannock River near White Stone.
A garden and four waterfront homes will be open for this walking/shuttle tour. Tickets: $50 in advance at vagardenweek.org for timed entry: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m.; $60 on tour day.
NNO concert
The Northern Neck Orchestra (NNO) 2024-25 season will conclude April 26 at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. A pre-concert talk will begin at 6:45 p.m.; the performance at 7:30 p.m. The NNO and Neave Trio will perform Paterson’s Triple Concerto, “Summit,” and Beethoven’s Triple Concerto.
Admission is by season subscription or $40. Tickets may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org or the door. Students are admitted free.
Cantori Choral
The Cantori Choral Ensemble will present spring concerts at 5 p.m. April 27 at Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, and 7:30 p.m. May 4 at Abingdon Episcopal Church, 4645 George Washington Highway, Gloucester.
Tickets may be reserved by sending a check made out to Cantori, 3341 Derby Lane, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Advance tickets are $15 for adults. Tickets at the door will be $20 for adults. Tickets are good for either location.
Founders’ tea
The Northumberland Homemakers Club will hold an annual tea at 11 a.m. April 28 at St. Stephens Church in Heathsville. The club invites anyone related to the original members of the organization to join them for the tea.
Relatives will be seated at the president’s table. Those who plan to attend are urged to call president Yvette Harding, 580-0931. All are welcome.
RCA show
The Rappahannock Concert Association will present the Rat Pack Impersonator Group Tribute Show at 7:30 p.m. May 17, at the Northumberland County School Performing Arts Theater, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville.
