Music on the Half Shell Stage season passes

Kilmarnock Town Centre Park and Chesapeake Bank recently announced a season pass will again be offered for the Music on the Half Shell Stage 2022 concert series. The seven-show series will open May 27 with Soul Expressions.

Season passes are $50, individual show tickets are $10, so the pass holder will be getting a $70 value for $50. Season passes are available at kilmarnockva.ticketleap.com to Friday, May 6.

Farm museum opening day

The Northern Neck Farm Museum, 12705 Northumberland Highway, Horsehead,  will hold opening day 2022 activities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 7.

Activities will include an antique tractor show, sawmill operation and Master Gardener Community Garden demonstration. Progress will be shared on the museum addition. Hot dogs and burgers will be served.

The Drifters in concert

The Rappahannock Concert Association will present the Drifters at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Northumberland School Complex Theater, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville.

45th annual auction/dinner

The 45th annual Chesapeake Academy (CA) auction and dinner, Mission: Space – An Intergalactic Gala, will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 7, on the CA campus, 107 Steamboat Road, Irvington.

Tickets to attend the event are $100 per person including everything but auction purchases. A raffle also is underway, 100 tickets will be sold for $100 each. Cantori Choral Ensemble concert

Cantori Choral Ensemble will present its 2022 spring concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg. 

Tickets may be reserved for will-call by sending a check made to Cantori Choral Ensemble, 3341 Derby Lane, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Ticket are $15 in advance and $20 at the door for adults.

Meet the lambs

The Five Rivers Fiber Guild will gather at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, at Point Pleasant Farm near Kilmarnock, where members will meet the 2022 lambs.

A business session, show and tell and lunch will follow. Interested members and guests should contact Nan Harvey 436-0323 for directions.

Woman’s Club of Northumberland County

The Woman’s Club of Northumberland County will meet May 10 at the WCNC Clubhouse, 2928 Northumberland Highway, Lottsburg. The club will gather at noon for refreshments; the meeting will follow at 12:30 p.m. The speaker will be James “Alfie” Butts, esquire.

Concert for skipjack Claud W. Somers

The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, 504 Main Street, Reedville, will host a concert to benefit the historic skipjack Claud W. Somers. Folk singers Janie Meneely and Rob van Sante will be featured from 7-9 p.m. May 14

Bluff Point Community League

Bluff Point Community League will hold a potluck meeting May 16 at the former Bluff Point Graded School, 2595 Bluff Point Road, Kilmarnock. Social time will begin at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Bring a dish to share.

Nan Harvey will will discuss her new book, A History Not Past.

Preakness Party

The Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation will present the Preakness Party from 4-7 p.m. on May 21 at Kennersley on the Coan River, 491 Oyster Road, Lottsburg.

Music by the River

Friends of Belle Isle State Park recently announced the 2022 Music by the River schedule. Concerts are held from 6-8 p.m. in the picnic area at Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster. A $5 parking fee is payable at the park entrance.

The schedule includes Chris Stanley & Jane Cooper on June 11; Faron Hamblin, June 25; Patsy & The Country Classics, July 9; Garden Variety String Band, July 16; RTC Band, August 13; and Southern Grace, August 20.

Concerts by the Bay

Concerts By The Bay 2021-22 season will conclude May 15 with Clan MacCool. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. at the Mathews High School Harry M. Ward Auditorium, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews.

Admission is by season subscription; or single performance tickets, $25 at the door. Students are admitted free.
