The Summer Speaker Series will continue at 5 p.m. today, August 20, at Historic Christ Church & Museum, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems. Dr. Jane Kamensky will present “‘You and I have passed our Lives in Serious Times’: Learning from Jefferson and Adams.”
The event will include a wine and cheese reception. Tickets are available at ChristChurch1735.org/programs or at the door, if space allows. Tickets are $50 each or $95 per couple.
Speaker series
The Commonwealth Senior Living quarterly speaker series topic for today, August 20, will be Adding Life to Your Years. The session will be held from 1-3 p.m. on August 20 at White Stone United Methodist Church, 118 Methodist Church Road, White Stone.

Drinking Habits
The Westmoreland Players will present “Drinking Habits” at The Westmoreland Players Theatre, 16217 Richmond Road, Callao. Performances are slated at 7:30 p.m. August 21, 22 and 28; and 3 p.m. August 23, 29 and 30.

NNO tickets
Tickets are on sale for the 2026-27 Northern Neck Orchestra five-concert season. The 35th season will feature four concertos on a new Steinway concert grand piano, a Holiday Pops concert and an evening of exhilarating music by George Gershwin.
Season tickets are $160. Single tickets are $40. Students will be admitted free with an online reservation. Tickets may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org. All concerts will be performed at the Lancaster High School Auditorium and Performing Arts Center, 100 Visionary Way, Irvington.
On Stage
Tickets are on sale for the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts 2026-27 On Stage season at the Lancaster High School Auditorium and Performing Arts Center, 100 Visionary Way, Irvington. The season offers classical, Celtic folk, jazz fusion, country and brass. Shows will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Season subscriptions for reserved seating for all five shows are $200 at www.rappahannockfoundation.org, or 438-5555. Single event tickets are $45 each. Students younger than 15 may attend free with a paying adult, and reserved seating. Email admin@rfaonstage.com, or call.
Crab feast
The Morattico Waterfront Museum, 6584 Morattico Road, Morattico, will hold its 13th annual crab feast from 3-5 p.m. September 12. The menu will include steamed crabs, hot dogs, sides and desserts. Bring a crab knife, but leave pets coolers and take-home containers at home.

Chorale rehearsals
The Chesapeake Chorale will begin rehearsals for its 29th holiday concert season at 7 p.m. September 14, at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock, and will continue each Monday through November.
Auditions are not required. Concerts will be held December 5 at Lancaster Elementary School and December 6 at St. Clare Walker Middle School. The Chorale also will present music for Holly and the Ivy at December 7 at Historic Christ Church & Museum.
