Upcoming Movies on the Half Shell Stage at Town Centre Park, 150 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will include Coco on September 17; Toy Story, October 8; Hocus Pocus, October 29; Elf, December 10; and The Polar Express, December 17.
The free movies will begin at sunset. The December movies will be available to enjoy from the comfort of automobiles.
Chorale rehearsals
The Chesapeake Chorale rehearsals for the 2026 holiday concert season are at 7 p.m. Mondays at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock, through November.
Auditions are not required. Concerts will be held December 5 at Lancaster Elementary School and December 6 at St. Clare Walker Middle School. The Chorale also will present music for Holly and the Ivy at December 7 at Historic Christ Church & Museum.
RCA season
Tickets are on sale for the Rappahannock Concert Association (RCA) 2026-27 season. Five performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Northumberland High School, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville. The sixth concert will begin at 3 p.m. at Generals Ridge Vineyard, 1818 Weldons Ridge Road, Hague. The season will open Saturday, September 19, with the Jeff Little Trio.
A season subscription for five shows at NHS is $135 reserved seating, or $110 general admission. Other options include a pick three, $70; or individual show tickets, $35 each. Tickets for the show at Generals Ridge are $20. Purchase tickets at rappahannockconcerts.org, or 1-888-210-8006.
Community league
Bluff Point Community League, 2595 Bluff Point Road, Kilmarnock, will host a potluck dinner on Monday, September 21. Social time will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m. Bring a dish to share.
Kilmarnock Museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn is the after-dinner speaker. He will present “Do You Remember,” sharing memories of the people, places and events that have shaped the Northern Neck.
Photo Group
The Rappahannock Art League Photo Group seeks new members of all levels who wish to improve their skills. The Photo Group meets at 10 a.m. on third Mondays at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

Lunch and Learn
St. Andrews Presbyterian Outreach Committee will present a free Lunch and Learn workshop, What’s in your lunch? Nutrition and Brain Health from noon-1 p.m. Monday, September 21, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 435 East Church Street, Kilmarnock.
Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital clinical dietitian Jennifer Miller will talk about how foods can influence memory, mood and overall brain function. Lunch and Learn participants bring their own lunch; tables and water are provided. Reserve a spot by calling 435-3948.
Antique appraisals
Commonwealth Senior Living at Kilmarnock will host an antique appraisal event from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, September 24, at Town Centre Park, 150 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
Participants may bring up to two antiques or collectibles for appraisal by Henry Lane Hull of Commonwealth Antiques and Appraisals. Light refreshments will be served.
Books Alive
The Friends of Northumberland Public Library will host a Books Alive reception at 5 p.m. September 25, at NPL, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville. Author Mark Huffman will discuss his new book, The Last Tide.
Hake fish
A Hake Fish Breakfast will be served from 8-11 a.m. October 3 at the Northumberland County Community Center Organization Building, 679 Browns Store Road, Heathsville. The menu will include hake fish, potatoes, onions, pork and turkey bacon, pork and turkey sausage, eggs, pancakes, biscuits, juice and coffee.
