Art reception
RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will host a First Friday Art Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 5. The reception will showcase the “You be the Judge” exhibit.
The public is invited to visit the center, meet exhibiting artists and enjoy light refreshments.
Arts & crafts
RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will host a Do It Yourself Art & Crafts Night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, January 6. The theme will be chalkboards and Marilyn Sprouse will facilitate the activity.

Country breakfast
Lancaster Union Lodge #88 A.F. & A.M. will serve an all-you-can-eat country breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. January13 at the Lodge, 48 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
The fee is $10. Ages 5 and younger, uniformed military and law enforcement eat free.
Indoor yard sale
An indoor yard sale to benefit the Northumberland County Animal Shelter is held regularly at the Northumberland School Administration Building, 2172 Northumberland Highway, Lottsburg.
Hours are 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, noon to 4 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. second and fourth Saturdays.
On Stage
The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts 2017-18 On Stage series will present MozART on March 9 at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. The series will continue with the Sons of Serendip, April 14.

Veterans’ breakfast
Commonwealth Senior Living at Farnham, 511 Cedar Grove Road, Farnham, hosts a Veterans’ Breakfast at 9 a.m. on second Tuesdays. Participants are urged to RSVP at 394-2102.
