Chocolate

Caesar’s Chocolate: The History and Legacy of one of Virginia’s Earliest Chocolate Makers, will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 15, by Zoom. Register at stratfordhall.org.

On Stage

The Rappahannock Foundation On Stage series at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock, continues with Jose Feliciano, Thursday, December 15.

Special concert

The String Crewe cello students will present “Sounds of the Season,” at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15, at Northumberland Public Library, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville. A reception with holiday treats and warm beverages will follow.

Kid’s Santa Welcome Party

Allure Art Center, 419 Rappahannock Drive, White Stone, will host a Kid’s Santa Welcome Party from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, December 16. Santa is coming to town. Welcome him as he passes through town.

Bring chairs or blankets, enjoy a festive holiday light display, holiday picture board, holiday music, warm fire and treats. David and Zora Aiken will sign and offer to create personalized prints from their book series along with other specials and gifts. Free kids holiday coloring pages.

Meet Arthur Lee

Restless Genius: Arthur Lee & the Life of Purpose will be presented at 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, by Zoom. Register at stratfordhall.org.

Chicken dinner

Due to the holidays American Legion Post #117 has rescheduled the January Chicken Dinner from Monday, January 2, to Monday, January 9. The dinner will be available from 5-6:30 p.m. at American Legion Post #117, 39 School Street, Reedville.

The meal includes fried chicken, mashed potatoes, choice of vegetables, salad, roll, dessert and drink. Dinners are $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and younger, at the door.

Computer classes

Free computer classes are held at 3 p.m. Mondays excluding holidays at Northumberland Public Library, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville. 

No sign up is required and all ages and skill levels are welcome. Bring a laptop, iPad or phone or use a library laptop.

Burns tribute

The Kilmarnock & District Pipe Band will hold its “Tribute to Robert Burns” at 2 p.m. January 21 at the Masonic Lodge #100, 1434 Good Luck Road, Kilmarnock. Doors will open at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $30. Snacks and setups to enhance the edibles (BYOB) brought by audience members. Purchase tickets at The Local in Irvington, Chesapeake Bank in Kilmarnock, Blue Ridge Bank branches in Kilmarnock and White Stone, and Primis Bank in Burgess, or call 577-3349.
