The Middlesex County Museum & Historical Society Inc. invites the community to an afternoon of discovering the past. Finding our Past through Archaeology, a presentation by The Fairfield Foundation, will be held from 3-5 p.m. September 23 at Dozier’s Regatta Point Maria, 137 Neptune Lane, Deltaville.
Co-directors Dr. David Brown and Thane Harpole will present the results of archaeological studies at Sandwich, the old customs house in Urbanna, reported museum executive director Marilyn South. Through these excavations, a deeper look at the history of Urbanna is revealed.
