VAHS speaker to present U.S. Navy Topgun history

The Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula Chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society (VAHS) will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 18, at the Pilot House Restaurant, 2737 Greys Point Road, Topping.

The speaker will be James “Jim” Ruliffson, fighter pilot and Navy Fighter Weapons School instructor.

2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the Navy Fighter Weapons School, an advanced training program better known as Topgun, which dramatically increased the shoot downs by Navy aviators during the Vietnam War….[to-view-more]
