VerMeer named Region 1A volleyball player of the year

Lancaster High School sophomore hitter Lexi VerMeer has garnered her second straight MVP honor this week after being named Region 1A volleyball player of the year.

VerMeer, also the Northern Neck District player of the year, has 392 kills this season with 44 blocks, 65 serving aces and 258 digs to lead Lancaster in one of its most successful volleyball campaigns in recent history.

The Lady Devils went unbeaten against Northern Neck District teams for the regular season….
