LIVELY—Virginia “Ginny” Headley, 63, of Lively passed away on March 25, 2021, surrounded by her loving family and closest friends.

Ginny was born on July 15, 1957, in Kilmarnock and her greatest joy in life was to be with her family and friends. Ginny loved working with the public and found great joy bonding with the people in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Miskrell Anthony and Lavinia Ann Anthony; her brothers, Mike and John Anthony; and uncle, Ovid Sonny McCarty.

Ginny is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Alba (Luis) of Mattaponi and Stephanie Ketner (Donnie) of White Stone; her son, Leslie Headley IV (Kim) of Cape May, N.J.; three grandchildren, Chrissy Ketner, Luis Alba and Finn Headley; her aunt, Virginia Berry of Ottoman; sister-in-law, Margie Anthony of Farnham; numerous nephews, cousins and friends.

A special tribute to her closest friends which were her “sisters” whom she loved dearly, Mae Hogan and Judy Boyer of Lively, Joanne Felthouse of Topping and her best friend of 45 years, Andrea Marsh of Lively.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery, Kilmarnock.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association or Hospice of Virginia.

Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
