BURGESS—Virginia Nicole Jett was born March 3, 1978, in Pascagoula, Miss., to Betty Jo and Lawrence Jett Sr.
Nikki, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Jackson County, Miss., and Northumberland County.
Nikki enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, writing letters to family and friends, cooking splendid meals and shopping for clothes, hair products and make up. When not spending time with family and friends, Nikki enjoyed the water and spending time on the beach.
William Abbot and she were united in holy matrimony. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Katelyn. Although their union did not last, they were always united for the love of their daughter and grandson.
On Thursday, March 18, 2021, at her mother’s residence in Burgess, Nikki unexpectedly passed away. Nikki will be remembered as a loving daughter, affectionate mother, beloved grandmother, sincere fun-loving sister, compassionate cousin and friend.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Pearl and Woodrow Deihl; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Agnes Jett; as well as her brother, Travis Keyser.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter, Katelyn; her grandson, Kaden Zayn; her mother, Jo Jett; her father, Lawrence Jett Sr.; her siblings, Lawrence Jett Jr. and wife, Pamela as well as their children, Tres and Joseph, all of Burgess; Angie Dunaway of Village; Chris Jett (Lisa) of Raleigh, N.C.; Robbie Jett (Lindsey) of King William; her aunts and uncles, Woody Deihl of Moss Point, Miss., Barbara Jett of Mobile, Ala.; Truman Jett of Burgess, Wayne Jett of Heathsville, Jimmy Jett of Richmond, Jake Jett of Burgess and Steve Jett of Burgess; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
