Ever wanted to spend a couple of hours with local law enforcement—without having to commit a crime first? Now is your chance!
The Lancaster County Keepsafe Program invites the community to its one-of-a-kind Law Enforcement Auction at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock.
This lighthearted fundraiser gives attendees the opportunity to bid on local law enforcement officers for a two-hour rendezvous. Winners can use their time for lunch, fishing, coffee, attending a community event, playing a round of golf, or simply enjoying good conversation, said officer William Farrell, Keepsafe board vice president.
There are a few rules—no chores, no dangerous adventures, all outings must be mutually scheduled.
The auction features county deputies, town police officers, detectives, school resource officers, a bailiff and state trooper, and command staff—all volunteering their time to support a great cause.
Come ready to bid or simply to enjoy the entertainment. Wine will be available for purchase from Good Luck Cellars. Those who prefer beer are welcome to bring their own.
