Members of the Lancaster Community Library LCL In Stitches group gathered outside Dee’s Attic Bookstore to display their first collection of donated food items bound for the RGH Infusion Center.
In addition to the food drive, group members are hard at work hand-knitting and crocheting cozy hats and scarves for adult and pediatric patients, reported library director Alice Cooper. All food donations and warm winter items will be collected and delivered to RGH during the week of Thanksgiving.
Anyone interested in crafting for a cause is welcome to join. The group meets from 4-7 p.m. Mondays in Dee’s Attic Bookstore in the library lobby at 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock. Meetings are casual and drop-in style, so stop by and stay as long as the schedule allows.
