Waterman’s World and Artful Aging exhibits on display at RAL Art Center

Gayle Merrill displays “Sunrise Crabbing,” first place winner in the current Waterman’s World member exhibit at RAL Art Center.

August brings two new exhibits to the RAL Art Center, 19 Main Street, Kilmarnock. Waterman’s World, and Artful Aging: Artwork Created by Tartan Village Residents, will remain on view until August 24.

“Waterman’s World” includes 54 original works entered by member artists, reported Jill Schuszler. Show judge George Jennings is a retired architect and waterman and an artist who maintains a studio gallery in Tappahannock. RAL executive director Stephanie Brown announced his choices for winners and shared his comments at a reception Friday, August 1.
