Wayne E. Mullins

WOODSTOCK—On April 14, 2021, Wayne Eric Mullins left this earth to spend eternity with his lord and savior.

Three days short of his 75th birthday, Wayne’s battle with dementia ended peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen Louise (King) Mullins; his son, Christopher Eric Mullins (wife Karey, grandsons Tanner and Benji) of Edinburg; and his son, Douglas Ryan Mullins (granddaughter Cara Carter) of Clear Brook. Wayne is also survived by a sister, a brother, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Wayne attended K-12 grades in Raytown, Mo., where he met his wife. He graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Missouri in 1968. Wayne then served in the U.S Army as a first lieutenant in Germany.  After being honorably discharged in 1972, Wayne entered law school at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1974.

Wayne worked for Mobil Corporation for 32 years as legal counsel in many offices across the United States.

Wayne enjoyed reading, golfing and spending time with his family. During his retirement years, Wayne served as an elder at White Stone Church of the Nazarene and was a devoted teacher of God’s word, which included mission trips to Europe and South America.

Wayne will be rejoicing in heaven with his father and mother, Benjamin and Alma Mullins; and his brother and sister, Sonny and Esther.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, https://brhospice.org/donate/.

Arrangements are in the care of Dellinger Funeral Homes, Woodstock. Online condolences may be made at www.dellingerfuneralhome.com.
