KILMARNOCK—Kilmarnock Museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn on Tuesday, June 14, announced Patricia Edwards of Weems won the Kilmarnock Salebration Days $1,000 giveaway.
The announcement came shortly after 8 a.m. on Bay 101.7 FM WKWI Radio during the Ron Jeffries Morning Show. Ashburn later played phone tag with Edwards to tell her the good news, he said.
The annual two-day sales promotion was held June 10-11 among participating merchants and restaurants throughout town.
Ashburn said Edwards entered the raffle once at Farm & Home Supply, 469 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
Sponsors included NWP Energy Company, W.F. Booth & Son Inc., Rappahannock Hang-Ups Gallery, Blue Ridge Bank and Kilmarnock Museum.
