KILMARNOCK—Renovation work began this week to convert the former Bank of Lancaster northside branch building at 432 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, into a Wendy’s fast food restaurant.
The property was sold to Wendy’s franchise owner Ed Anderson, who bought it from Virginia Commonwealth Bank (VCB) for $475,000 on September 27, said executive vice president and chief banking officer Doug Jenkins.
A deed of ownership was transferred from VCB to Bay Partners Land LLC, a domestic limited-liability company owned by Anderson.
The bank property has been unused since that branch closed in April 2015, said Jenkins.
