Effective immediately, Westmoreland State Park in Westmoreland County will be closed to the public until further notice.
The announcement was issued Thursday, May 7, by Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) director of communications and marketing Dave Neudeck.
The park near Montross is closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The employee is currently at home in quarantine, said Neudeck.
