Over the next few days, Lancaster Lions Club members will be outside of 7-11, Tri-Star and Walmart collecting funds for White Cane Days, announced Lion president Jim Schmidt. The funds we collect at this event help us support the Lancaster County community in several ways, including eye testing in our schools, paid eye exams and glasses for the neediest in the community and a host of other projects, he said.
“The White Cane has been an important part of Lions’ history, as well as a symbol of the independence, confidence and skills of those who rely on it to guide their walk through life,” said event chairman Lion Mike Fagan.
