White Stone Council set to approve proposed $242,512 budget tonight

WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council will reconvene to approve its proposed 2024 budget at 6 p.m. today, June 8, at the Town Hall, 433 Rappahannock Drive, White Stone.

There were no public comments—in fact no one from the community attended—a very quick public hearing on the proposed $242,512 budget at the June 1 meeting. Council immediately went in and out of the hearing and made no comments on the budget, which is $15,967 more the current budget.

Of relevance is a $22,495 increase in administration, public safety, town council and building expenses that will be offset by a $6,528 decrease in sewage project expenses. The expense increases include….
