White Stone invests proposed tourism project

WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council last Thursday voted to invest $1,750 in a tourism project headed by the White Stone Business Association (WSBA).

Association president Lloyd B. Hubbard asked council for the money as part of a matching grant program the WSBA is applying for through the Northern Neck District Planning Commission. The WSBA also will contribute $1,750 towards the $7,000 matching grant, which would be used to help promote tourism in White Stone.
