White Stone Town Council conducts ‘holiday’ meeting

WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council incorporated a few holiday festivities into its meeting December 2.

Prior to the business portion of the meeting, council strolled down Rappahannock Drive to the Village Green, where town manager Patrick Frere officially lit the town Christmas tree. The tree lighting is usually held in conjunction with the White Stone Business Association’s Winter Wonderland celebration, which is not being held this year because of COVID-19 concerns.

Also prior to the meeting, Lancaster County Circuit Court Master Deputy clerk Suzanne Reynolds swore James “Jimmy” Smith into his new term on council. Smith was appointed last spring to fill the vacated seat of Melinda Sliakis George and was elected to a full term in November.
