Willard “Mickey” Hall

IRVINGTON—Willard “Mickey” Hall passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018.

He served in World War II aboard the United States Battleship the USS Arkansas and was awarded two Silver Stars.

He worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation on the ferry that ran from White Stone to Grey’s Point, on the Robert O. Norris Bridge across the Rappahannock River and on the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Herbert P. Hall.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Esther Godwin Hall; his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Alan Elliott; his grandson, Christopher Elliott and Elizabeth Copeland; and his nephews, Pollard Hall (Gail), Wesley Hall (Brenda) and Kenneth Hall (Susan).

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 3, at Bruington Baptist Church, 4784 The Trail, Bruington, VA 23023. Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bruington Baptist Church.
