
LANCASTER—William “Bill” Berger Sr., 81, of Lancaster passed away on September 3, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Berger; children, Bonnie Gookin (Rick), Laurie Kline (Matthew) and William “Billy” Berger Jr.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Virginia. He retired to the Northern Neck in 2002 after having worked as assistant director of environmental health in Fairfax with the Virginia State Health Department. He also was an avid Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed boating and playing golf. Bill was a member of Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 7, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman. Interment will take place after the service at Corrottoman Baptist Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
