OPHELIA—William Floyd “Billy” Dale Sr., 85, of Ophelia passed away on September 30, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Burton Dale. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki I. Dale; sons, William F. “Billy” Dale Jr. and his wife, Cindy and James A. Dale; four grandchildren, Joshua A. Dale, Reed Elizabeth Dale, Grace Elizabeth Dale and Ethan DuVal.
Billy was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy and will be buried with military honors. He was a cherished family man who loved to hunt and fish.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 4, at Fairfields United Methodist Church, Burgess with a reception to follow at 121 Blue Jay Drive, Heathsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Virginia, 1328 Tappahannock Boulevard, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
