NEWPORT—William Hunter Cooke, 16, of Newport died on March 21, 2018.
Surviving are his father, Robert William Cooke and stepmother, Angie Banes; mother, Katrina Jenson of Coles Point; grandmothers, Evelyn Bennett of Burgess and Sandra Jensen of Sandston; great-grandmother, Mamie Cooke of Lancaster; sisters, Darcy O’Malley of Washington, Harleigh Pullen of Gasburg; step grandmothers, Theresa Willis of Gasburg and Sharon Banes of Callao; step-grandfather, David Banes of Callao; stepsister, Erica Robinson of Callao; stepbrother, Kayleb Robinson of Callao; nephew, Owen O’Malley of Washington; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Joseph F. Cooke and great-grandfather, Lloyd F. Cooke, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Friends called from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
