William L. Pittman

REEDVILLE—William Lee Pittman passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was born June 23, 1929, in Fairport, to the late John B. Pittman and Annie S. Pittman.

Bill graduated from Reedville High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Bill was founder and owner of Reedville Propeller Company.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 1, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Reedville. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 2, at the church. Interment will follow at Roseland Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Rice Pittman of Reedville; his brother, John V. Pittman; his sons, William Todd Pittman and wife Margaret Burns Pittman of Saint Petersburg, Fla., and their daughters, Catherine Burns Pittman of Raleigh, N.C, and Carolyn Fields Pittman of Greenville, N.C.; Kevin Rice Pittman and wife Harriet Carter Pittman of Charles City County and their son, William Carter Pittman also of Charles City County.
