NORFOLK—If Alan W. Wilmer Sr. was alive today he would be charged with two more murders related to a string of homicides known collectively as the Colonial Parkway Murders.
Wilmer died in his home in Lancaster County in 2017.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Norfolk Field Office on Friday, September 18, announced that Wilmer can be linked “through an exhaustive review of evidence” in the disappearance of Richard “Keith” Call and Cassandra Lee Hailey in April 1988. Call, 20, and Hailey, 18, both students at Christopher Newport University, were last seen at a party and Call’s car was found the next morning abandoned near the York River Overlook along the Colonial Parkway.
