WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council on Thursday, July 2, appointed Thomas Wilson to fill a vacant council seat left when a mayoral succession occurred in June.
Following the resignation of the Honorable William B. Hubbard, council elected deputy mayor Irving Brittingham to fill that role until the November elections. That left a vacant council seat and council voted 5-0 to have Wilson fill the seat until the election.
Wilson and Brittingham have both filed to run in November—Wilson for council and Brittingham for mayor….
